Emaar Properties shareholders agree to pay $2.4 billion in dividends for 2024

Emaar Properties’ shareholders have agreed to pay all of the 2024 profits as dividends, which is $2.4 billion (AED 8.8 billion). This follows the company’s new dividend policy from last December.

At its annual general meeting (AGM) on Wednesday, Emaar Properties’ shareholders approved the company’s financial report and reviewed the board’s evaluation of the company’s business and financial situation, according to a statement.

In 2024, Emaar achieved strong growth in its main business areas. Property sales reached a record $19 billion (AED 70 billion), which is 72% higher than the previous year. The company also reported a revenue backlog from property sales of more than $30 billion (AED 110 billion).

Emaar’s net profit increased by 18.2% compared to last year, reaching $4.8 billion (AED 17.4 billion). Additionally, the company’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) were $5.2 billion (AED 19.3 billion), with a strong profit margin of 54%.

The company stated that investments in digital technology, employee development, and sustainability will help ensure long-term growth.

Emaar’s total revenue from property development in the UAE was $6.4 billion (AED 23.5 billion).
