MIITE 2025: ADNOC Signs $1.6 Billion Deals to Boost UAE Factories with Local Supplies

The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has made deals worth $1.6 billion with 12 local companies to make important industrial equipment in the UAE. This will create 1,300 jobs and make it easier for ADNOC to get the equipment it needs for its energy operations.

ADNOC’s “Make it in the Emirates” Initiative

On the third day of the Make it in the Emirates (MIITE) 2025 forum in Abu Dhabi, 12 manufacturing companies signed agreements. These companies are located in key industrial areas across the UAE, such as the Industrial City of Abu Dhabi, Khalifa Economic Zones, Dubai Industrial Park, and Jebel Ali Free Zone.

AI Announcements at MIITE 2025

  • Abu Dhabi’s G42 and the US company World Wide Technology launched Forge42, a project to boost AI development in the UAE’s industries.

  • G42’s data company Presight signed a deal with the UAE Media Council to use AI for media and data analysis.

  • International Holding Company in Abu Dhabi introduced an AI marketplace to give developers—especially small and medium-sized companies—easier access to computing tools and AI technologies.

  • The Abu Dhabi Investment Office and e& enterprise are working together to help local businesses use advanced AI tools.

  • The Technology Innovation Institute launched two new AI models called Falcon Arabic and Falcon H1.

Technology and Defense Deals

  • RAKEZ announced two big projects:

    • A $299.4 million deal with THi Investment to build a large tech industrial park.

    • An $8.2 million deal with Faraday Future to set up a luxury electric car factory.

  • The Tawazun Council and French company Thales Group signed a $163.4 million deal to support over 20 UAE-based suppliers. They also agreed to make air surveillance radars in the UAE.

  • The Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology and Thara Entrepreneurship Hub will open a center in Ajman to help industries upgrade with modern technology.

  • EPI, part of EDGE Group, became the first UAE company to get official approval for its calibration lab from the Emirates International Accreditation Center.

Infrastructure and Earth Science Projects

  • NMDC Energy and Al Gharbia signed an agreement to speed up pipe production in the UAE.

  • Borouge and Mubadala Bio are working together to use local materials to make medical products.

  • The Abu Dhabi Fund for Development and the International Center for Biosaline Agriculture will create the first guide in the MENA region to build soil museums, helping protect soil in dry areas.

  • Emirates Global Aluminium and China’s Sunstone agreed to move forward with building an anode factory in Abu Dhabi.

  • NMDC Group and Jiangsu Juxin Petroleum Steel Pipe signed a deal to explore building metal pipe factories in the UAE for use in dredging projects.
